Brighton and Hove buses–12 and 12A

Last week I wrote about how I caught a 13X tourist trail bus on the way home from work as there were delays and I decided to do something a bit different.  Usually though I catch a 12 or 12A.  The number 12 bus is one of the bus services provided by the Brighton and Hove bus company.  This specific bus service links Brighton to Eastbourne along the coast.  During the summer months number 12 buses are scheduled to arrive every 10 minutes. 12A buses come less frequently.  Their route is slightly different around Newhaven and also goes around an additional residential area in Seaford.

I have used these buses both for tourist purposes (for example when we lived in Italy and came here on holiday) and also for commuting purposes to Brighton and Eastbourne.  One of the main stops of tourist interest is the Seven Sisters Park.  This summer I saw many tourists of various nationalities getting on and off the bus at this stop.

You can also reach East Dean (which is located between Seaford and Eastbourne).  It is worthwhile to get off in East Dean to have a pint at the Tiger Inn pub, eat absolutely tasty food at the Thai Terre restaurant and the village has a market in the village hall on Wednesday morning (from 10am – 12:30pm).
