Southover May Fayre 2013

Last year I went to Southover’s May Fayre for the first time.  It was a lovely sunny day and there was plenty to see and do.

This year the sun was shining, but there was a bit of a persistent wind.

First stop was for food.

It was pleasing to see that venison burgers were on offer again.

My handbag had two coconuts in it after both of my kids were successful at the coconut shy.

They both found replica coins in the sandpit.

Throw a sponge at a monk – a favourite for Mini Sheila.

Due to the wind it was a case of hold onto your plastic cake fork and coffee if you want to consume the cake and drink the coffee!

I couldn’t help but take this photo of a local cricket match in an adjoining field.
